Thomas Rathnam is a successful music composer, known for his new style of composing, resembles Indian music fusion with western touches, combines both tradition with contemporary music. His magnetic tunes attracts diverse various from childrens to adults, captured the youngsters heart beats by his rhythmic beat songs and setting his own trend in the music world.  He always choose best lyrics and suitable voices for his songs.

He is doing music for Indian movies, Pop music albums, devotional songs, short American films, documentaries and jingles in India and abroad.

His music albums are popular in United states of America and European countries,  his jingles for AIDS awarnes always playing in MTV radios, London. His another English music album named "Waves" released in USA, hits all over the world, which dedicated to tsunami victims. He has specialised in Key board, flute, base guitar, drums, other percussions and music softwares, also a good lyrics writer and singer.

Basically he is an Electronics engineer (B.E) graduated at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, involved in the college orchestra during his college days, won many medals for his talents.  He also earned Law degree (BGL) at Annamalai University. He did his school at St. Josephs, cuddalore. His native place is Kallakurichi, now lives in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

He is grandson of Mr. S.V.S. Rathnam, Ex Bench Magistrate and well known Politician, who served for India and received gold medals for his unmeasurable, enormous social work for Untouchability at 1963 from the Indian President.

 

 Thomas Rathnam inspired by his elder brother T.John Peter Elbirel, M.A, B.Ed, PGDJMC, M.A, Philontheraphist, Actor, Singer, Composer and Poet, acted more than 200 Radio Dramas , Tele documentary films and few Tamil films and sungs so many songs in private audio albums and released few audio/video albums. Thomas Rathnam himself says that his elder brother is the FIRST MASTER {GURUJI ) for him. Unfortunately, his brother demised on October 18, 2003.

His another brother Dr. Vincent Therraisnathan, lives and teaches at the Universities in United States, he also a Pop singer & Actor.
